Dr. Hussain Alsaffar

Dr. Hussain Alsaffar is a consultant pediatric endocrinologist associated with Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, University Medical City, Oman. He holds an MBChB from Alfateh University (1997–2004) and completed specialist training in pediatric endocrinology through the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom (CCT). His clinical work focuses on endocrine and metabolic disorders in children, including diabetes and growth-related conditions.

Dr. Alsaffar has held academic and leadership roles, including Head of Strategy Planning Team at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and membership in the Communication Committee of the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology since 2019. Hussain Alsaffar has also contributed to regional collaboration as Deputy Chair of the Communication Committee at the Arab Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and is currently engaged with Global Pediatric Endocrine and Diabetes in an executive capacity.
