Dr. Mehmet Furkan Burak

Dr. Mehmet Furkan Burak, MD, is an endocrinologist based in Boston, Massachusetts, affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his internal medicine training at Harvard Medical School (2014–2017) and pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Genetics and Complex Diseases at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2011–2014). His clinical work focuses on endocrinology and obesity medicine.

Dr. Mehmet Furkan has served as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and as an endocrinologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital since 2020. His roles include work with the Center for Weight Management and Wellness and leadership as Co-Chair of the Obesity Working Group at the Endocrine Society.
