Dr. Christa Maria Joel

Dr. Christa Maria Joel is a postgraduate resident in Clinical Microbiology at Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka undergoing training in Systemic Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology and Hospital Infection Control. She holds an MBBS degree from Father Muller Medical College (RGUHS) Karnataka India  and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of the West of Scotland, with academic focus on Epidemiology, Global Health, and Infectious Disease control. Her current work involves laboratory diagnostics, antimicrobial sensitivity testing, academic teaching within undergraduate medical training and taking part in research projects. 

Dr. Joel has prior clinical experience in Neurology at Believers Church Medical College Hospital Kerala India and has completed a clinical attachment in Rehabilitation Psychiatry at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in the UK.

She also has prior experience working in Neurodevelopmental disorders in two prominent social heath care sectors across the UK as a Public Health professional.
