Dr. Deepak Varughese

Dr. Deepak Varughese is a physician trained in community medicine, family medicine, and palliative care, with an MD in Community Medicine from Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore and a postgraduate diploma in Family Medicine. His clinical and public health training at CMC Vellore included work across rural, urban, and tribal health systems, alongside rotations in anesthesia, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. His areas of practice include family medicine and palliative care, with additional training in pain and palliative medicine.

Dr. Varughese currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Believers Church Medical College Hospital and contributes to palliative care services at Pallium India. He is also involved in teaching epidemiology and data analysis as an R instructor, with experience in tools such as R, QGIS, and SQL applied to public health research.
