Introduction
Dr. Sai Kumar Samala is a radiation oncologist trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where he completed his M.D. in Radiation Oncology after earning his M.B.B.S. from Gandhi Medical College. His clinical experience includes managing diverse malignancies such as prostate, gastrointestinal, neuro-oncological, and pediatric cancers, with application of precision radiotherapy techniques including IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and brachytherapy.
Currently a Clinical Research Fellow at UCLA Health’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Samala has also held a research fellowship at UTHealth Houston, focusing on translational oncology. His work integrates molecular approaches such as RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics with radiotherapy, alongside studies on radiosensitization using nanoparticles and hypoxia-targeted therapies.
